MapleSEA v0.63 - Halloween

MapleSEA has been updated to v0.63. This is another big update of MapleSEA which introduces a lot of new things. Here is the notice from MapleSEA website (a very long one thus I shorten it):

1. You can jump straight from the platform to the lower level by pressing [↓] & [jump] key at the same time.

9. Some of the 4th job skills are adjusted.
- For Dark Knight: Beholder's Buff delay has decreased.
- For all Warriors: Monster Magnet gage has implemented. Number of Mobs to draw near will vary by the gauge.
- For all Magicians: You can move while charging the gage of Big Bang.
- For Crossbow Master: You can move while charging the gage of Piercing.
- For all Thieves: Number of Mobs you can attack by Showdown has increased.
- For Paladin: Sanctuary delay has decreased.
- For Dark Knight: Berserk HP condition has increased.
- For Crossbow Master: Sniping delay has decreased.

16. Guild union system is added.
- There must be more than 2 guilds to create Guild union.
- Maximum number of guild can join the Guild union is 5.

The two major attractions would be the Malaysia extension map and the Halloween event. The latter seems to be more popular, most probably because it is for players of all level.

The Halloween map can be entered by using the invitation which can be obtained easily from NPC. Let's see how fun the event is:


Spooky invitation... Trick or treat?


Indeed spooky, you must turn into a ghost before going in, yes, turn into a ghost, which can be achieved by completing a quest from the nameless cat. Not hunting hundreds of items, just tell four names that can be found on four thombstones will do.


So you invited me huh? Would you mind taking off the spooky mask for once?


There is a party quest, which is quite fun to do with friends, it's about jumping, getting an item from some haunted mirrors (yes, mirrors) and catching ghosts (Ghost buster anyone?).


Do I look like the Masked Gentlemen? The hat is obtained by collecting points from the party quest above.


The mask is obtained by completing several quests, it has four versions which are smile, sad, cry and angry. There is a pumpkin head equipment too.

About the new features, I do like the jump down which is really handy and guild union sounds interesting, bigger chatroom? Besides, I believes the adjustment on the 4th job skills is a good thing, especially for Dark Knights, Berserk can now be activated with higher amount of HP.

However, most players exprience lag after the patch eventhough several network maintainances have been carried out recently. Let's hope the problem can be solved soon.
