[Continued from the previous post about Aran.]
So the Aran was awakened on an island called Rien. It's much like the Aran version of Maple Island, only more fun as it has a better storyline. I mean, just look at the penguins below.
I've lost all my skills and now officially a lv.1 noob! Oh no! No worry, Lirin, the girl who has been awaiting for the Aran to be awakened, will now help me to regain my lost memory and skills... by asking me to hunt some monsters and perhaps asking me some funny questions, like this one:
After the young Athena Pierce, now it's the Giant Pole Arm's turn to ask this:
Here's the "video" which is just about 2 or 3 seconds long.
Completing all those tutorial quests will gain you enough experience to reach lv.10. What's next? Just like any other classes in Maple Story, head to the Victoria Island... but with a whale.
Unlike Maple Island, you can head back to Rien. In fact, you have to, due to the storyline and you will miss cute penguins. Ok, maybe not the because of the penguins but your job advancements and skills.
I notice that first job title is called "Legend" instead of Aran. I think it is due to other hero classes that are yet to be released, just the the KOC (Knight of Cygnus), each adventurer job will have their own accosiated KOC class and hero class:
Adventurer | K.O.C. | Hero |
---|---|---|
Warrior | Soul Master | Aran |
Magician | Flame Wizard | Evan |
Bowman | Wind Breaker | ? |
Thief | Night Walker | ? |
Pirate | Striker | ? |
*The Evan class is currently only available in KMS (Korean Maple Story).
Perhaps all the hero classes will start with the first job "Legend". Just my guess. Anyway, this should be the last post for 2009, happy new year 2010!
